February 3 – Alternative Medicine Approaches for Special Needs with FREE Yoga Relaxation Session

May 18 – Special Needs Camp and Other Summer Activities For Children With Special Needs

June 2 – Central Park Challenge 3K walk and 5K run, join Team Foorce – all are welcome! 8:00AM – 12:00PM

July 6, 1-3pm at Dinosaur Playground (enter at 97th and Riverside) – picnic, sand and sprinklers

July 13, 11:00AM at Mariner’s 84th Street Playground – Central Park Brass interactive concert and playground time, picnic lunch to follow.

July 15, 12:00-4:30PM at New York Botanical Gardens: Dig! Plant! Grow! Join us for a picnic lunch at the gardens followed by hands-on family gardening in the Ruth Rea Howell Family garden at 2:00PM.

July 19, 11:00-12:30PM at Highbridge Pool – Social Swim (Olympic sized wading pool and Olympic sized swimming pool)

July 21, 10:00AM at AMC Loews 84th Street 6 – AMC Sensory Friendly Films, Ice Age: Continental Drift

July 23, 10:00AM – Chuck E Cheese (125th Street location).

August 7, 11:00-1:00PM – Highbridge Pool. Social Swim (Olympic sized wading pool and Olympic sized swimming pool)

August 11, 10:00AM – AMC Sensory Friendly Film Series at Lowes Theater on W. 84th Street. Diary of A Wimpy Kid: Dog Days. Much anticipated by my son, I’m on the fence…

August 16, 10:00-12:30pm – Chuck E Cheese, Harlem location. It’s usually very empty until after 12:00 on weekdays. If you’re able to join us for this playdate and your child likes pizza and video games, you’re pretty much guaranteed a little downtime here.

August 20, 10:30-2:30pm – NY Science Museum (Queens). More details TBA.

October 25, 5:30-7:30PM. Special Needs School Fair, JCC Manhattan.

November 29, 10:00AM. Family and Professional Resource Fair. Church of St. Paul the Apostle, 405 W 59th Street.

    Just joined the Foorce!!! So pumped about finding your social group for my 13 year old aspie Lauren … who is lonely and ostracised at school for being different. Look foward to the get togethers…and having a fun time!

      Glad to have you! James will be 12 this Fall so maybe they can hang out. Are you in Manhattan? Will be posting the first list of events for July very soon – keep an eye out.

        Hi this is Linda, Lauren’s mom, yes we are in manhattan and we met you when the summer camp and activity info was given out. What we don’t know is..at what time and where do we meet on Tuesdays?We’re hoping for a good time as well as new connections, after a really hard year!!

        The group actually will meet randomly, schedule with dates, times and places to be posted soon – many of the days in July happen to fall on Fridays with some weekends too.
