Don’t Miss Your Chance To Snag Discount Tickets To Elf, The New Broadway Musical – An Autism Friendly Performance

November 18, 2012 Leave a comment

I know, the title is really long, but trust me when I say that these tickets will be gone by tomorrow. Not only is the performance special needs friendly, we took our entire family to one of these shows last year for around the cost of one regularly priced ticket. And since Elf is our family’s all-time favorite Christmas movie, you can count on a little friendly competition in the ticket rush tomorrow!

Putting Our Money Where My Mouth Is – A Central Park Challenge Challenge

The Central Park Challenge weekend is upon us and boy are we excited (and a little nervous about the 30% chance of rain). We have been touched by the outpouring of support and generosity as we work to raise money for the YAI, but we’re just a few drops short of our goal. So, desperate times…

Our family will match the next 3 donations that come in for The Foorce, so act now while your money is worth double (i.e. if you donate $15 it’s like donating $30).

————————————————————-
To make a donation to our team please go to http://support.yai.org/goto/thefoorcereturns and click on “Support the Foorce!” ANY amount is greatly appreciated by us and by the YAI.
————————————————————–
And there’s still time to join us on Saturday – anyone is welcome, and when I say anyone I mean any age, ability, friends, family and strangers alike. To join, go to http://support.yai.org/goto/thefoorcereturns and click on the button that says “join team.”

We have not yet met our goal but I have 100% confidence (okay, 99.999%) – we have never fallen short and I know we won’t this year either.
If you have questions or trouble with the site, please don’t hesitate to contact me. Thank you from all of us for your time, generosity and consideration as we support a cause near and dear to our hearts.

There’s Only 1 Week Left And We Haven’t Reached Our Goal – Please Support The Foorce In The Central Park Challenge (June 2nd)

The Foorce will be participating in the 2012 YAI Central Park Challenge for our third consecutive year next Saturday, June 2nd, and we still need your help to reach our goal!

We’ve been fortunate to have a great support system for James here in the city. We have been truly inspired by the work of the YAI Network and the difference they make in the lives of children and adults with developmental disabilities each day. Children and adults with disabilities rely on the YAI Network for basic services such as preschools, health care, housing, job training and more in order to reach their fullest potential and be active members of our community. We have also had a wonderful experience dealing personally with them as we work on finding services for James.

Please consider:
1) by joining our team – anyone is welcome, and when I say anyone I mean any age, ability, friends, family and strangers alike. To join, go to http://support.yai.org/goto/thefoorcereturns and click on the button that says “join team.”
2) by donating to our team – ANY amount is greatly appreciated by us and by the YAI. To donate to our team, please go to http://support.yai.org/goto/thefoorcereturns and click on “Support the Foorce!”

The Top Ten Reasons To Join The Foorce 2012:

We hope to have our biggest team yet this year. Remember that this event is incredibly family friendly – even my 1 and 3 year old will be racing in events for kids during the day! Each year we have so much fun and love meeting new people – feel free to invite your own family and friends to join us as well!
Again, if you are unable to join us but are able to support us please visit our team website – http://support.yai.org/goto/thefoorcereturns – every dollar is appreciated more than you know! Have you found this blog helpful at all? How about my awesome summer guide? Is it worth $1, or $5 to you? Perhaps you would consider donating this amount toward our race efforts next weekend. We have not yet met our goal but I have 100% confidence (okay, 99.999%) – we have never fallen short and I know we won’t this year either.

September 13, 2011 Leave a comment

FYI – You can check out upcoming events and meetings on the Google Calendar tool found on the right sidebar of my homepage. If you click on the button (lower right) underneath the calendar it will open up a much larger version that you can scroll through each week to see what’s going on. Also, if you’d like an upcoming event to be posted on it just shoot me an email and I’ll do my best to get it up there!
