(Top) Ten: Halloween Resources For Special Needs Families
We start getting excited for Halloween in our house from around late-August on – my kids pick a different costume every week and LOVE all things “spooky.” Except James, of course 🙂 James exhibits no anxiety until a day or two before the big day, but is diligent in reminding us that ghosts and monsters “are not real” several times each day as my toddlers delight in making creepy crafts and treats.
The “Top Ten” this week is not so much a claim that these are the TOP ten – just some of my favorite sites and resources.
1. Wheelchair Halloween Costumes
2. Halloween Tips To Avoid Meltdowns
3. The Official Halloween Safety Game
4. When Your Child Is Afraid Of Halloween
5. Gluten-Free Halloween Candy List
6. Sensory Friendly Halloween Guide
7. Sensory Friendly Halloween Costume Ideas
8. Trick or Treat Social Story
10. Halloween Social Stories Collection (and other holidays, including birthdays)
