Best Buddies New York is a global volunteer movement that creates opportunities for one-to-one friendships, integrated employment and leadership development for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. And this amazing nonprofit is being honored in an equally fantastic benefit at Carnegie Hall next month.

As with many special events, tickets are a little pricey, but it’s for causes like these that the benefit far outweighs the cost.

I am anxious about James going to middle school next year on many levels, but Best Buddies is one thing I’m actually looking forward to him aging into!

Thursday, November 10, 2011 VIP Cocktail Reception & Silent Auction at 6:00pm | Concert 7:30pm Zankel Hall at Carnegie Hall 57th Street and 7th Avenue New York, NY 10019 www.carnegiehall.org Join us on November 10, 2011 when prize-winning concert pianist, Elaine Kwon, will return to the stage to lead a line-up of world-class performers in an evening of unforgettable music at Carnegie Hall to benefit Best Buddies New York. VIP and Premier Level guests will be invited to a pre-concert cocktail reception and silent auction, which will include a jewelry item created by internationally known artist and jeweler, Alex Soldier. Ms. Kwon will be joined by guest artists: Elaine Kwon Angelica de la Riva, soprano & Nilko Andreas Guarin, guitar Demetrius Spaneas, saxophone Mark Rapp, trumpet & Derek Lee Bronston, guitar OCTET Presenting a reading of “Mouse in the Hall” by playwright Quincy Long: Molly Katz, Actor John Summerford, Actor Wayne Pyle, Actor The concert will begin promptly at 7:30pm.
