Special Note: DMF’s big spring concert is on May 19th this year – the theme is Motown (oh yeah). There are two performances, and since they are both awesome and FREE, seating is limited and fills up fast. Every Saturday all 4 of our children have a music class of some kind. With James attending his Daniel’s Music classes today, this article was an especially uplifting way to start my day. The power of perseverance never ceases to amaze me!

DMF Fall Events – You’re Invited!
My absolute favorite season is the Fall, which brings along with it one of our all-time favorite activities – DMF. This season Daniel’s Music has some amazing activities and opportunities lined up – the first couple are listed below. If I wasn’t due so soon I would totally take on that 5K… hope to see you there regardless, though!

Ballan, Assistant Professor of Social Work, Columbia University, Leading researcher, writer, professor, mentor, and advocate, disability studies and sexuality; recipient of numerous awards, including the Columbia University Presidential Teaching Award, Services for Students with Disabilities Faculty Award, Association on Higher Education and Disability Recognition Award, and others.
Dr. Chris Rosa, PhD, Dean of Students at CUNY, Serves on several local and national committees on disabilities, is a published disability studies scholar, and a faculty member at CUNY’s MA program in Disabilitiy Studies. A product of New York City public education, Chris was born, raised in, and presently resides in Flushing, Queens.
