Monday Minute: While We’re On The Subject Of Bus Drivers…
With the bus strike looming, the Monday Minute material this morning was not just entertaining, but thematic.
(getting ready in the morning)
Me: Hurry up and get your shoes on, the bus is almost here.
James: Can I have ipod time?
Me: While you wait, if your shoes and coat are on. Are you excited to tell your friends about your fun weekend playing tennis?
James: Yeah, but I can’t even do that.
Me: Why not?
James (gesturing as if in the bus): So Erica and Jackie sit up front.
Me: Ok…
James: Robert is in the center back…….. Dave and Eddie are in the back……….. (gesturing to a “different” back) John is in the back.
Me: Everyone sounds like they’re in the back… where are you?
James: I’m in the middle.
Me: Who’s in the front?
James: Thomas gets to be way in the front all the time. (sighs heavily) I wish I could be in the front.
Me: Maybe some day you could sit there.
James: No, mom. I can’t.
Me: Well, why is Thomas always in the front – do you have assigned seats?
James: Yeah, Thomas drives the bus.
The Foorce 
That made me smile and reminds me of my own son – until he wanted the seat the bus driver had. Definitely a moment to remember!
That’s too funny…give him a turn at the wheel!!
