Another Top Ten
Sometimes things can seem so unbelievably bad that it actually doesn’t seem wise to talk about them, just in case you find a way to forget they ever happened. My mom is going to give a speech at her job tomorrow with a Top Ten theme, and as a dedication to what has turned into a terrible, horrible, no good, very bad day (dark humor helps almost anywhere, I swear) I am going to do a Top Ten about my family this time (see Do You Have a Top Ten post for my Top Ten about James).
1. We all love each other deeply and say so at least 100 times a day.
2. We would all do anything to keep each other from harm.
3. There is always someone to cuddle with, talk to, play a game, read a book (a plus to there being so many of us!)
4. Learning moments happen every day. For us adults, too.
5. We like to explore together. New playgrounds, museums, cities and even countries (Jamaica here we come!).
6. Things are not boring. Ever.
7. Seeing things through children’s eyes is a guilty pleasure we get to relive over and over again.
8. We hate to be away from each other for too long.
9. Even dinner is an event.
10. On the best and worst days, they are the first ones I want to lean on.
Nice!
That was very sweet – hope things have calmed down!
